Man United Paid €50.2m for Onana, Confirms Inter’s Financial Report:
Inter Milan received a final transfer fee of €50.2 million from Manchester United for signing goalkeeper Andre Onana, as per the Italian club’s latest financial reports.
Onana moved to United this summer after impressing for Inter last season, though the Serie A side was initially reluctant to lose him. He was brought in by United manager Erik ten Hag to be the new first-choice keeper, replacing the departed David de Gea.
The Cameroonian has had ups and downs so far. He made errors in United’s first two Champions League matches against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray. However, Onana redeemed himself by saving a crucial penalty against FC Copenhagen 1-0 to give United their first Champions League victory this season.

In a post-match interview, Onana said, “I knew I had to make amends for the mistakes I’ve made. I’m really happy with my performance tonight.”
Onana also said, “I’m really happy with my performance. I knew that I had to make amends for the mistakes I’ve made in the past. I’m glad that I was able to do that tonight.”
Additionally, Onana remarked, “I was a nice goal from Harry, we have a good team, we have to continue like that i am sure we will make it.”
Manager Erik ten Hag praised both Onana and match-winner Harry Maguire, saying “Harry’s goal was great. He’s been playing well and I’m happy he’s being rewarded.”
Injuries in United’s defense have made it difficult for Onana to build partnerships with his new teammates. But Ten Hag looks set to continue with the keeper as his number one, despite rumors of De Gea returning on loan in January.
Onana will hope to maintain his improvement when Manchester City visit Old Trafford on Sunday.
