Kim Kardashian Becomes Manchester City Fan Due to Son’s Admiration for Erling Haaland, She Freaked Out in recent meetings:
Kim Kardashian recently shared how she felt nervous after meeting football star Erling Haaland. The encounter happened at a Dolce & Gabbana event in Italy in July 2022, where they were both invited as brand ambassadors.
Despite being a huge celebrity herself with over 364 million Instagram followers, the 43-year-old Kardashian couldn’t help but be amazed by Haaland. She revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that her 7-year-old son Saint West is a massive fan of the Manchester City striker.
“I was in Italy and I see Erling Haaland and I freaked out because I know my son would be so excited. It’s like his thing,” Kardashian told publication.

The reality TV star and model admitted she even FaceTimed Saint after meeting Haaland just to tell him about it. Kardashian said: “I’m FaceTiming him and I’m like ‘I’ve turned into this person, I’ve turned into this person and I’m… sorry.”
At just 23 years old, Haaland is already establishing himself as one of the best footballers today due to his incredible goalscoring ability. Haaland has scored 52 goals across all competitions. He scored 36 goals in 35 appearances in the premiere league last season.
In this current season he is the top premiere league goal scorer with 13 goals in 12 appearances.
Haaland has broken numerous records since arriving at City from Borussia Dortmund in a £51 million transfer last summer. According to Opta Sports data, he became the first player to score three hat-tricks in his first eight Premier League home games.
The Norwegian also holds the record for the most Premier League hat-tricks in a single season (4) and is the fastest player to reach 25 league goals (19 matches). His early success has lured Manchester City to sign him as their long-term replacement for club legend Sergio Aguero.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has recently gained more interest in football due to her son Saint’s passion for the sport. Earlier this year, she was spotted watching an Arsenal match at the Emirates Stadium as Saint is a huge fan of their winger Bukayo Saka.
After Saka interacted with Saint via FaceTime following a tough Arsenal loss, his teammates playfully teased him about it in the locker room. The lighthearted mocking came after the Gunners were knocked out of the Europa League by Sporting Lisbon.
In a video posted by Kardashian on Instagram, Saint can be heard telling Saka: “You’ll get ’em next time!” He then asked for an autograph, to which Saka replied: “Saint, I’ll sign something for you and gift it to you.”

Several Arsenal players poked fun at Saka, asking him questions like “Oh, is that your mate Saint on FaceTime?” and “How’s Kim Kardashian?”
While in good humor, it highlighted how even elite footballers can feel starstruck interacting with celebrities and their children. Much like how Kardashian felt nervous meeting someone Saint idolizes in Haaland.
Haaland and Kardashian’s worlds collided again recently during Manchester City’s friendly preseason tour in the United States. Photos emerged of them chatting at a team event, indicating Kim has become a City fan thanks to Saint’s admiration for Haaland.
Erling Haaland’s exceptional performance in his debut Premier League season and winning Treble, suggests that he is on track to shatter several goalscoring records this season. It will only make Saint an even bigger fan, it is likely that Kardashian may find herself at more City games supporting football’s newest superstar.
