Kylian Mbappe Reaches 300 Career Goals Faster Than Messi And Ronaldo After Scoring Hat-trick

Kylian Mbappe Scored Hat-trick Against Gibraltar now has 300 career Goals:

Kylian Mbappe reached the major career milestone of 300 goals on Saturday night during France’s record-breaking 14-0 win over Gibraltar, with outstanding Hat-trick from him. At just 24 years and 10 months old, Mbappé achieved this feat much faster than legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

When Mbappé completed his 17th senior career hat-trick with a stunning 40-yard strike, it marked his 300th goal. In contrast, Messi was 25 years, 4 months and 3 days old when he reached 300 goals in October 2012. Ronaldo was even older at 27 years and 1 month when he hit the same milestone during his time at Real Madrid per Guinness World Records.

As noted by ESPN Stats, Mbappé reached 300 goals in 360 matches so far, giving him a 0.83 goals per game ratio. Messi recorded 300 goals in 378 appearances for Barcelona for a 0.79 ratio. Meanwhile, it took Ronaldo 433 matches with multiple clubs to hit 300, equating to a 0.69 goals per game ratio. Although Messi was younger, Mbappé edged him out in scoring efficiency at this stage of their illustrious careers.

Mbappé’s 300th goal came in his 193rd match for Paris Saint-Germain. At his current rate, Get French Football News projects Mbappé could break Edinson Cavani’s PSG all-time scoring record of 200 goals within the next two seasons. Mbappé also has over 50 goals for AS Monaco and the French national team.

According to OptaJoe, Mbappé already has the most European goals (30) of any French player in Champions League history before age 25. His dominant performance at the 2018 World Cup also made him only the second teenager after Pelé to score in a World Cup final.

Mbappé’s rapid success is remarkable, but he still has a long way to go to match Messi and Ronaldo. Messi now has over 800 goals at age 36 across all competitions for Barcelona and Argentina per International Federation of Football History and Statistics. Ronaldo holds the world record with 865 goals and counting as reported by Guinness, including 450 goals during his prolific 9 seasons at Real Madrid.

After the commanding 14-0 win over Gibraltar, Mbappé revealed that he has set his sights on becoming the greatest of all time.” While 300 goals is impressive, Mbappé stated “It’s just part of the process, there are some players who scored 800 or 850 goals in their career…”.

Mbappé remains focused on improving further for Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team. France manager Didier Deschamps praised Mbappé’s maturity and ability to L’Equipe, stating “Kylian is already one of the best players in the world, and he’s still young with tremendous potential.”

With his early accomplishments, Mbappé is on track to become an all-time great. But Messi and Ronaldo have set the bar almost unreachably high in the modern era. While matching their career numbers will be extremely difficult, Mbappé has shown the prodigious ability and relentless drive at a young age to make it a possibility in the years to come.
