Liverpool completed £34m deal for Ryan Gravenberch:

Liverpool have completed the £34 million signing of Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich, the club have announced.

The Dutch midfielder has signed a five-year contract at Anfield and will become the Reds’ fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo.

Gravenberch, 21, joined Bayern from Ajax last summer but struggled to make an impact at the Allianz Arena, making just six starts in the Bundesliga.

He is seen as a versatile midfielder who can play in a variety of positions, including central midfield, defensive midfield and right-back. He is also known for his passing, dribbling and ball-winning skills.

The Reds have been looking to strengthen their midfield following the departures of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and James Milner, and Gravenberch’s arrival is a major coup for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The Dutchman is a talented and exciting player with a lot of potential, and he is sure to be a key member of the Reds’ squad for years to come.

The deal is a significant investment from Liverpool, but it is a sign of their ambition to challenge for the Premier League title and the Champions League this season.

Gravenberch’s arrival is also a blow to Fulham, who were also interested in signing the midfielder. The Cottagers have been linked with a move for PSV Eindhoven’s Ibrahim Sangare as a replacement.

The transfer window closes on Friday, so it remains to be seen whether Fulham will be able to bring in a new midfielder before then.

However, the signing of Gravenberch is a major boost for Liverpool, and it will be interesting to see how he performs in the Premier League this season.
