Petit Slammed Dembele and Told Arsenal Boss to Avoid Signing Him, "He Doesn't Score Goals and Waste Lots of Opportunities"

Ex- Arsenal Player Petit Slammed Dembele and Told Arsenal Boss to Avoid Signing Him From PSG:

Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Petit has urged the club to reconsider their rumored transfer target Ousmane Dembele. Petit believes signing the 26-year-old French winger from Paris Saint-Germain would be a mistake, he rather recommended to sign Ivan Toney, Brentford forward, who would be a better fit for Arsenal.

Despite Arsenal’s strong start to the season, manager Mikel Arteta is still looking to bolster his attacking options in the January transfer window. Dembele is one of the names being considered after struggling to make an impact since joining PSG from Barcelona over the summer.

However, Petit offered a blunt assessment of Dembele, saying he “constantly wastes opportunities and doesn’t score goals, he has not scored any goals in 13 matches.” Petit pointed Dembele’s difficult start at PSG and urge Arsenal to avoid signing him.

Petit recommends Arsenal to pursue Brentford striker Ivan Toney. Petit is a “huge fan” of Toney, who scored 20 league goals for Brentford last season. Even though Toney is currently serving an FA ban, he will be available again starting January 16th.

With Arsenal aiming to maintain their Premier League title push, Petit believes Toney’s proven scoring ability and mentality would give them a great boost. Petit says if Arsenal can sign Toney in January, “they should go for him” as he would be a “great bargain.”

Overall, while Arsenal may be interested in Ousmane Dembele, Petit firmly believes Ivan Toney would be a far better signing to strengthen their attack.
