Former Barcelona Legend Carles Puyol advises Vinicius Jr. to ignore the haters and focus on his game:
The legendary former Barcelona defender Carles Puyol has weighed in on the debate surrounding Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr and his emotional displays on the pitch. Vinicius has frequently made headlines for his passionate goal celebrations and perceived off-ball antics, drawing criticism from rival players and fans.
Puyol suggested that while Vinicius is a tremendously gifted player capable of making a real difference on the field, he could gain more recognition and respect if he toned down his on-pitch attitude. The former Barcelona captain indicated he would love to speak with Vinicius as a fellow footballer and share his perspective that the young Brazilian should focus more on his impressive playing abilities.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has repeatedly defended Vinicius in the face of critique, most recently after Vinicius was subject to rough treatment in Madrid’s win over Athletic Club last month. Ancelotti claimed Vinicius was “disrespected” in that match.
Valencia-based newspaper also attacked the player on its front page this week, calling him “Pinochius” – a reference to the fictional character Pinocchio, known for telling lies. This came after Vinicius reported being racially abused by a fan at Valencia’s stadium in May.
With Vinicius projected to play against Braga in the Champions League next, the attention will remain on whether the talented winger can let his soccer skills do more of the talking as he continues to mature.
